Hernán Guillermo Aguilar is a Deaf leader, educator, and national advocate for accessibility and inclusion in Mexico. He serves as President of the National Union of the Deaf of Mexico, supporting Deaf community leadership and advancing equitable access across the country.

With 15 years of experience in Deaf education—especially at the high school level—Hernán works to expand opportunities for Deaf youth. As an Academic Advisor at CASIE High School, he supports educational development and helps strengthen inclusive learning environments.

He is also known for his work across Mexican Sign Language (LSM) and American Sign Language (ASL), partnering with schools and organizations to improve accessibility and empower the Deaf community through advocacy and education.

El Mtro. Hernán Guillermo Aguilar es un líder Sordo, educador y defensor nacional de la accesibilidad e inclusión en México. Es Presidente de la Unión Nacional de Sordos de México, donde impulsa el liderazgo comunitario y promueve el acceso equitativo para las personas Sordas en todo el país.

Con 15 años de experiencia en educación de personas Sordas, especialmente en el nivel medio superior, Hernán trabaja para ampliar oportunidades para la juventud Sorda. Como Asesor Académico en CASIE (Preparatoria), apoya el desarrollo educativo y contribuye a fortalecer entornos de aprendizaje inclusivos.

También es reconocido por su trabajo en Lengua de Señas Mexicana (LSM) y Lengua de Señas Americana (ASL), colaborando con instituciones y organizaciones para mejorar la accesibilidad y fortalecer a la comunidad Sorda mediante la incidencia y la educación.
