Innivee Strategies is conducting a needs assessment on aging and disability on behalf of a large nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that advocates for older adults to better understand the experiences of people with disabilities.
Through this needs assessment, Innivee Strategies seeks to gather information about the experiences and perspectives of people aged 45 years and older with a hearing, vision, and/or mobility disability. Data will be collected on whether and how people with disabilities prefer to self-identify, their lived experience, quality of life, and more. This needs assessment will have a positive impact on the lives of millions of Americans who are disabled as they age.
If you meet the above criteria, there are two ways to participate in the research. You are welcome to :
- Participate in a Focus Group: Innivee Strategies will hold virtual, 90-minute focus groups via Zoom in November/December 2023. If you would like to participate, please complete this registration form: https://innivee.typeform.com/FocusGroups
- Take the Survey: This brief, 20-minute survey is available online in both English and American Sign Language. Find the survey here: https://innivee.typeform.com/agingsurvey
“People who do not have a disability are more likely to become disabled as they grow older. In fact, nearly 50% of people aged 75 years and older have some form of disability,” said Shane Feldman, CEO of Innivee Strategies. This needs assessment underscores our commitment to understanding the intersection between aging and disability so that we can create a more inclusive future for all Americans. Your participation in this needs assessment is a vital step towards this shared goal.
