Innivee Strategies is pleased to partner with the Maine Division for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Late-Deafened (DDHHLD) to support the development of its next five-year strategic plan.
This work builds on the completion of DDHHLD’s 2020–2025 strategic plan and marks the beginning of a new phase focused on reflection, continued engagement, and future direction.
About the Work
DDHHLD is entering this next phase with a strong foundation shaped by community involvement over the past five years. The previous strategic plan reflected collaboration across the Deaf community, community partners, and members of the Commission.
“I’m excited to share that we’re celebrating the completion of our five-year plan from 2020–2025,” said Terry Morrell, Director of DDHHLD. “Thank you to the people who were involved in that plan, from the Deaf community, various community partners, and people on the Commission.”
The new strategic planning process creates an opportunity to carry this work forward—building on past progress while identifying priorities that reflect current needs and future opportunities.
Partnership in Action
Innivee Strategies, a Deaf-owned consulting firm specializing in leadership and organizational development, will guide the strategic planning process in partnership with DDHHLD.
“We are thrilled to partner with the Maine Division for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Late-Deafened on this strategic planning project,” said Davin Searls, Lead Consultant at Innivee Strategies. “It is an honor to continue working with the Maine community, building on relationships and insights developed over the years.”
The process will include:
- Reviewing existing data and past strategic outcomes
- Engaging community members through interviews and focus groups
- Synthesizing input into clear, actionable recommendations
- Collaborating with a strategic planning workgroup to shape priorities and direction
This effort reflects both continuity and forward momentum—ensuring that DDHHLD’s next strategic plan is grounded in community voice while positioning the division for long-term impact.
Looking Ahead
As the process moves forward, DDHHLD and Innivee Strategies will work closely with community members and stakeholders to ensure the next strategic plan reflects shared priorities and strengthens services for Deaf, hard of hearing, and late-deafened individuals across Maine.
