Innivee Strategies Inc., a leading consulting firm specializing in organizational transformation and strategic development, collaborated closely with Our Deaf Survivors Center, Inc. (ODSC), a domestic violence and sexual violence advocacy organization, in a strategic partnership since May 2023 that concluded this month. The organizational transformation project was funded by a grant from the Deaf Organizations Fund (DOF). This project focused on strengthening ODSC and reshaping its future by updating various aspects of the organization, including its governance, decision-making processes, bylaws, policies, operations, financial systems, grant management processes, accountability systems, roles and responsibilities, and relationship with its Executive Director and staff, and overall capacity building.
This partnership underscores the unwavering ODSC dedication to provide critical services to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing survivor community in Massachusetts, while also being responsible stewards of the organization. Innivee Strategies led an effort to identify, recruit, and onboard a new board of directors, each of whom brings a wealth of diverse expertise to the table. These new board members, who began their roles in September 2023, will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of ODSC and its mission. Sue Philip and Louis Rivas, longstanding board members as well, will continue to serve on the board and support the transition until December 31, 2023.
ODSC also underwent a change in its Executive Director leadership role, with guidance and support from Innivee Strategies. The organization recently won a major federal grant with the Office of Violence Against Women (OVW), which will influence its decisions regarding the next steps for the Executive Director position.
