Innivee Strategies is launching a new statewide initiative designed by Deaf leaders, for Deaf and Hard of Hearing leaders across Colorado. This program is made possible through funding support from the Colorado Disability Opportunity Office (CDOO) under the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE).
This statewide program — now officially named Deaf TRAIL (Transformative Representation & Advocacy through Inclusive Leadership) — strengthens Colorado’s Deaf, DeafBlind, Hard of Hearing, and Late-Deafened leaders through culturally grounded leadership training, statewide connection, and practical tools to advance communication access, equity, and organizational effectiveness.
Why This Program Matters
Leadership development that understands Deaf culture, language, and lived experience is rare. This program fills that gap by providing:
- An in-person kick-off leadership retreat
- Monthly virtual sessions
- An in-person closing leadership retreat
- A statewide network of Deaf and Hard of Hearing leaders
- A Deaf-centered curriculum built on Innivee Strategies’ People-Driven, Business-Led (PDBL) leadership framework
Participants will build confidence, strengthen organizational and community impact, collaborate across rural, mountain, and urban regions, and gain tools to advance equity and communication access across Colorado.
Who Should Apply
This program is specifically for Colorado-based leaders, including people who are:
- Leading or supporting Deaf-serving organizations
- Guiding community programs, advocacy efforts, or initiatives
- Entering leadership roles and seeking structured support
- Working across education, nonprofits, healthcare, policy, or access-focused fields
- Contributing to statewide communication access and equity efforts
Leadership is defined broadly — formal titles are not required. If you are shaping change in your community or organization, you may be a strong fit.
