The Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind (ASDB) today announced a search for its next Superintendent, following the planned retirement of Superintendent Annette Reichman in June 2028.
“It has been the privilege of my career to serve ASDB’s students, families, and staff, and to help build the strong community we have today,” said Annette Reichman, Superintendent of the Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind. “I will retire in June 2027. Our Board will begin its search for ASDB’s next Superintendent, who will be hired in early 2028.”
To conduct the search, ASDB has partnered with Innivee Strategies, Inc., a Deaf-owned and led firm that provides executive search services to organizations serving Deaf, DeafBlind, Hard of Hearing, Blind, and visually impaired communities nationwide.

The search will include community and stakeholder engagement, a search committee reflecting the ASDB community, and a nationwide recruitment effort once a leader profile and prospectus are complete. ASDB and Innivee Strategies will share more information about how to get involved, and updates on the search timeline, as those details come together.
